Logn - concert
A concert celebrating the release of the album Logn, which features 11 new songs by Ingibjörg Azima. The performers are the Azima Ensemble, consisting of Margrét Hrafnsdóttir – soprano, Hrönn Þráinsdóttir – piano, Ármann Helgason – bass clarinet, Björg Brjánsdóttir – flute and alto flute, Hrafnhildur Marta Guðmundsdóttir – cello, and Ingibjörg Azima – trombone. Voice and piano serve as a unifying thread throughout nearly all the pieces, while each song cycle is complemented by a different instrument, adding its own distinctive color and character.
Logn - new CD
In an album of world-premiere recordings, composer Ingibjorg Azima unveils her unique settings of Icelandic poetry.Logn is one of 16 Icelandic words for 'calm', a theme that is explored in multifaceted detail in Azima's songs, which reflect the glacial mystery of her homeland. Each song is performed by soprano Margret Hrafnsdottir, accompanied by the Azima Ensemble, an intimate group of Icelandic musicians including Azima herself on the trombone.

Upplífgandi yfirtónar
In Garðabær Music school on the 7th of February at 12:15 Margrét Hrafnsdóttir, soprano, Pamela De Sensi, flute, and Katia Catarci, harp, offer Musical Nourishment with a program titled Uplifting Overtones.
The concert features sparkling and exciting compositions for soprano, flute, and harp by composers from diverse backgrounds. Engaging contrasts emerge as the passionate sounds of Dinelli, set to texts by Shakespeare, blend with the refined tones of P. Baker, whose work is inspired by famous pieces by Gershwin.

Örlagasögur kvenna
On the 2nd of November 2024 Margrét and Polina Fradkina, pianist will perform a 30 minute programm in Harpa concerthall, Reykjavík at 13:30.
Margrét and Polina Fradkina met in Copenhagen during Margrét’s rehearsals for the title role in Puccini’s Turandot. Their collaboration was immediate and close, and it quickly became clear that they shared a deep passion for storytelling—especially stories and fates of women and female characters. They put together a program featuring some of their favorite music and are also honored to premiere songs by Ingibjörg Azima.

Christmas concert
On Sunday, December 15th, the annual Christmas concert by Margrét Hrafnsdóttir and the band Mojito will be held at Hotel Holt. The program includes Christmas songs from various countries—a mix of classical music and well-known Christmas tunes. After the concert, chef Gunni Palli will serve a delicious meal in Hotel Holt’s restaurant.
Included in the price: a welcome drink, the concert, and a three-course dinner.

Hvíld á aðventu
Elektra Ensemble is joined by soprano Margrét Hrafnsdóttir for an evening of heartfelt and nourishing music—perfect for the beginning of the Advent season. The program includes works by:
Jules Massenet, Clara Schumann, Arvo Pärt, André Previn, and Ingibjörg Azima.

Vorljóð á Ýli - CD
Ingibjörg Azima composed music to the poetry of her grandmother, Jakobína Sigurðardóttir. The song cycle, which she calls Spring Poems in a Murmur, was composed between the years 2006–2014 and arranged for soprano, tenor, clarinet, accordion, bassoon, cello, and double bass.
